The Philadelphia Horticultural Society (PHS) has held a public flower show since June of 1829 at Masonic Hall on Philadelphia's Chestnut Street. It is a world renown showcase with exhibits from local florist, horticultural clubs and the every person. I have been going to the show since I was 8 and always wanted to be apart of the show. This year I entered for the Dynamic Duo class. The qualifications for the exhibit involved a mannequin design of dry and live plants and accessory of only dry plants. I received 3rd place in my class. The dress is inspired by the overall theme which was Garden Electric. I wanted to you vibrant purple colors referencing electric purple and using touches of copper that conduct electricity. 

The bodice of the dress is live limonium and statice. The skirt is a muslin with dried moss and eucalyptus leaves put together. Then the handbag of only dry plant materials of moss, sticks, eucalyptus and the eucalyptus leaf flowers .
